Honorary Ball Chairs

My husband Brad and I are honored to serve as Honorary Chairs for the 72nd Annual Allentown Symphony Ball.

We are writing to you today to ask you to join us as a sponsor for this season’s Symphony Ball.

Under Music Director Diane Wittry, the Allentown Symphony has become an award-winning orchestra. We are proud to have this world class orchestra right here in the Lehigh Valley.

But this is only possible with the generous partnership of corporate and community leaders like you.

Please join us February 5, 2022, at the Lehigh Country Club or via live stream for Carnevale a Verona, a Symphony Ball celebration of Prokofiev’s Suite from Romeo and Juliet, which the Allentown Symphony will perform at their February concert. We invite Symphony Ball guests to dress in period costume with Renaissance masks (for your eyes), or black tie.

The Allentown Symphony has been an arts and cultural leader in the Lehigh Valley since 1951. The Symphony Ball is our largest fundraising event of the year. Proceeds support the Symphony’s education programs including El Sistema Lehigh Valley, which provides free, daily instrument and voice lessons, and academic tutoring to more than 100 children K-12 in the Allentown School District.

When schools closed last year due to Covid, the Allentown Symphony education team responded quickly, creating an online learning program for students. Parents were thrilled to see access to this positive program for their children continue during a dark time when school and social activities had come to a halt. We are pleased to report that, this year, El Sistema Lehigh Valley students are back to meeting in-person.

Music brings us joy and enriches our emotional and physical well-being. Scientific research indicates that listening to music increases happiness, decreases stress, reduces depression and strengthens learning and memory – all of which are vital to our community right now.

We need your help. Covid has presented many challenges for the Allentown Symphony. Your dedicated and generous support will help the Allentown Symphony meet these challenges and continue its important work.

Because we understand that not everything is back to normal, this year we are offering Symphony Ball patrons the option of attending the Ball in-person* at the Lehigh Country Club or via live stream from the comfort of your own home.

Please join us in supporting the Allentown Symphony and El Sistema Lehigh Valley by sponsoring this year’s Symphony Ball. Enclosed you will find a list of sponsorship opportunities as well as information on how to donate an item for our online or live auction.

Your support today will continue to give the joy of music to the Lehigh Valley.

Thank you, in advance, for your support!

Sincerely,
