STRAIGHT NO CHASER: One Night Only!
Thursday, July 09, 2020, 7:30 pm
The Straight No Chaser show, originally scheduled for July 9 at Miller Symphony Hall, has been rescheduled for Sat, April 3, 2021 at 8pm. All original tickets will be honored for the new date.
Chart-topping a cappella group Straight No Chaser performs a ONE NIGHT ONLY show in their long-awaited return to Miller Symphony Hall. (SNC member Jerome Collins is an Allentown native!)
As the band’s “Open Bar” Fall Tour comes to a conclusion in early 2020, the group has announced an extension into the Spring, along with a handful of special summer dates, including this performance, produced by BRE Presents.
SNC is fresh off the release of their “Open Bar” EP, the first release on the group’s newly-launched label imprint, SNC Records, through Warner Music Group’s Arts Music division. The EP includes the group’s take on Semisonic’s end-of-night anthem “Closing Time,” along with other beloved bar-themed songs of the last few decades, including “Take Me Home Tonight” made famous by the late Eddie Money, “Tennessee Whiskey,” recently covered by Chris Stapleton, Dan + Shay’s “Tequila,” and Smash Mouth’s “All Star.”
If the phrase “male a cappella group” conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses... think again. Straight No Chaser (SNC) are neither strait-laced nor straight-faced, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch. They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fanbase, numerous national TV appearances and proven success with CD releases. Straight No Chaser is the real deal, the captivating sound of nine unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is moving people in a fundamental sense... and with a sense of humor. On the road, Straight No Chaser has built a reputation as an unforgettable live act.
