Maestro Hector Olivera joins the ASO in this symphonic festival of organ music. Plus there is a week-long organ extravagana that preceeds the concert, with organ performances around the Lehigh Valley. Most of them are FREE so come celebrate the beautiful music of the organ!
Simon Mulligan Trio
Acclaimed pianist Simon Mulligan returns to Allentown for an evening of standards, jazz classics, and original music from his CD "Playlist."
Joining Simon tonight are Gene Perla on bass, and Dave Willard on drums. Expect to hear the Simon Mulligan Trio's sophisticated take on your favorite timeless melodies and Simon's own compositions.
Kristine Opolais stars in the role that helped launch her international career, the mythical Rusalka, who sings the haunting “Song to the Moon.” Mary Zimmerman brings her wondrous theatrical imagination to Dvořák’s fairytale of love and longing, rejection and redemption. Brandon Jovanovich, Jamie Barton, Katarina Dalayman, and Eric Owens complete the all-star cast, and Mark Elder conducts.
The Allentown Symphony Orchestra presents Prokofiev's timeless tale of boy vs. wolf. ASO's annual family concert comes to life in a signature performance by Really Inventive Stuff. This fully-staged vaudeville-inspired solo performance is guaranteed to engage and inspire imaginations of all ages. Come early at 12:30 for pre-concert activities in the Rodale Community Room!
